He stressed the importance of allowing users to have significant input on the values and operations of AI systems, promoting a more democratized approach to AI development.
In a move aligned with this vision, Meta has introduced a new open-source AI model called Muse Glimmer, aiming to compete with the offerings of leading AI companies. Zuckerberg defended Meta’s strategy of making AI models more accessible, contrasting it with the approach of other companies that maintain strict control over proprietary systems.
